For our sixth general meeting of the semester, Women in Business invited Abby Lyons to come speak to our members. Abby is the owner of Yoga Lab in Bloomington, IL and she discussed the importance of regulation, connection, and community in our lives. Members got to hear many tips and tricks on how to regulate your mind and body while implementing it into your everyday routine. This was especially helpful during the end of the semester as finals approach. Thank you Abby for sharing your wonderful insights and interactive presentation!

Wednesday, November 5th
​
Women in Business hosted professor Derek Story and Jill Smith to discuss their positions and experience in Human Resources. They shared a lot of meaningful insight on what it is like to work in HR and members got to learn about transitioning into the workplace after college as well as overcoming challenges along the way. For our fourth general meeting, Women in Business hosted two speakers from the International Business Association! During our third general meeting of the fall semester, Women in Business welcomed four accomplished women to speak at our Internship Panel. At our second general meeting for the fall semester, Women in Business hosted Total Quality Logistics representative Sydney Dennis! Her presentation gave helpful insights to “unlocking your interview success”. She shared tips on interviewing, resume building, and navigating career fairs. We greatly appreciate her for sharing her expertise with us!
