Rachel Maggio graduated from ISU in 2021 and got her masters in 2023. Since then, Rachel is currently working as a Human Resource Generalist, specializing in employee relations and engagement, at Heartland Bank and Trust right here in Bloomington, IL! She is also an active member of the Bloomington-Normal Human Resources Council, serving as the Director of Social Media. Rachel also discovered a passion for photography and now runs her own business!

 

Rachel's favorite WiB memory is the supportive community it created. She would always see at least one familiar face in the hallway or hang out in the atrium with other WiB members before and after class. Those connections quickly turned into friendships that went beyond the classroom! 

 

"Life after college is different. You’ll witness friends getting married, having children, going to grad school, moving to new states, or focusing on their careers. There’s no single “right” answer. You get to decide which path is best for you, and the exciting part is that if you change your mind along the way, you can always choose a different path. Always be quick to give yourself grace, cheer your friends on along the way, and remember: we’re all learning as we go."
