A Letter From Our PResident

2022-2023 President

Hello!

From all the members of Women in Business at Illinois State University, I want to thank you for taking the time to visit our page. My name is Kylie Gaither, and I am the current President of Women in Business for the 2022-2023 school year. As President, my goal is to continue to empower our members to be leaders, strengthen their professional skills, and grow personal skills to prepare themselves for post-grad life. Since our founding in 2015, we have strived to be the leading group of women at ISU through personal and professional development. We pursue this mission by hosting weekly events focused on our values: Fellowship, Honesty, Courage, Wisdom, and Respect. These events include general meetings with educational presentations about the business world, hosting various service events to benefit our local community, social events to bring our members closer, and workshops focused on personal growth. We continue to focus on providing events for our members with opportunities to grow surrounded by a group that is empowering, encouraging, and uplifting. 

As an organization, Women in Business has been awarded the College of Business Large RSO of the Year five times and the Illinois State University RSO of the Year twice. We are very grateful to be recognized for these achievements over the past seven years since our founding. We believe it shows that our mission, vision, and values set by our founders have led and continue to lead our members to be successful, dedicated, and empowering members of the College of Business, Illinois State University, and our surrounding communities. As we grow our organization on campus we will continue to follow our mission, vision, and values closely to remind us of where we started and where we want Women in Business to be.
